The Computer Science and Engineering Department has a focus of preparing our graduates for university studies in these exacting disciplines. Our courses offer preview and early practice in learning patterns and problem types that often trouble many aspiring students in university level CSE courses while developing strength in connected skills.

ASMSA CSE offers courses to fit the varied backgrounds and needs of the students. While C++ Programming, Engineering Problems, and Electronics are more focused in the CSE area, some students might prefer subjects such as Business Applications or 2D3D Graphics. Visual Basic offers a more graphical approach to programming. ASMSA offers course work that follows curricula recommendations for high schools as well as college level CSE as proposed by a joint task force of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Extracurricular activities available to students include: Collegiate Programming Contest, High School Programming Contest, BEST (Boosting Engineering and Science Technology) Robotics Contest, Botball Robotics Contest, Artificial Intelligence Student Conference, Math Modeling, and Student Chapter of the ACM.
