Academic and College Counselor
Olivia was first a STEM student and member of the inaugural class at The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky. She completed dual bachelor's degrees in mathematics and mathematical economics at the University of Kentucky, then served as an actuarial analyst at Mercer in Louisville, Kentucky. At Mercer, Olivia did riveting work with retirement health benefits but realized very quickly that life in a cubicle wasn't for her. She returned to Western Kentucky University in 2013, where she worked in residence life at The Gatton Academy while pursuing a master's degree.
Olivia completed a master's in education with a focus in gifted education in May 2015 and joined the ASMSA counseling department in July 2015. She looks forward to enjoying life outside of a cubicle by interacting with students on a daily basis and helping them reach their full potential at ASMSA!
