“We invite seventh – 10th grade students who are looking for an academic challenge and wanting to get a head start on college, to attend the open house,” said Abijah Kratochvil, ASMSA admissions coordinator.

ASMSA is one of 15 public residential high schools specializing in the education of juniors and seniors who have a special interest in science and math careers. Enrollment is open to all Arkansas students who meet the academic criteria, and students must apply their sophomore year. There are no fees for general tuition, room and board.

ASMSA classes are taught at the college level and the school offers more than 30 concurrent courses that allow students to earn college credit while completing high school. The residential aspect of the school provides a unique living and learning environment.

The school’s admissions staff will be visiting schools across the state this fall, giving students another opportunity to learn more about the school. A second open house is scheduled for Nov. 10
