ASMSA students place first at state FBLA conference

Twenty-two students from ASMSA competed in the state Future Business Leaders of America conference, April 4-5 in Little Rock. According to FBLA advisor Carl Frank, this is the largest number of state qualifiers ASMSA has had in a single year.

Seniors Alec Crow and Calvin MacKenzie placed first in the website design competition and qualified to compete in the National FBLA Conference to be held June 28 – July 1 in Orlando, Fla.

Tait Clements placed third in the spreadsheet applications category and also qualified to compete at the national level.

ASMSA also placed in the following categories:

Banking and Finance Systems - Roshni Patel and Pooja Mehta (3rd Place)
Business Ethics - Annie Wang and Taylor Washington (3rd Place)
Desktop Applications Programming - Luke Brown (5th Place)
The ASMSA competitors were: Maliha Bhatti, Nora Bouzihay, Luke Brown, Jessica Cagle, Tait Clements, Alec Crow, Tammy Huynh, Nicole Hinman, Zach Lovin, Calvin MacKenzie, Pooja Mehta, Anjali Patel, Roshni Patel, Tina Phan, Julie Rhee, Jenny Son, Katrina Sowell, Natasha Sra, Annie Wang, Leila Wang, Taylor Washington, Alex Windle.
