The ASMSA Beta Club made a good showing at the state Beta Club Convention, Jan. 28-29 at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
Carrie Yang placed second in the Colored Pencil competition and Natasha Sra placed third in the Acrylic Painting competition. They are both eligible to advance to the national competition, which will be held in June in Nashville, Tenn.
The ASMSA quiz bowl team placed third. Team members were Devika Mehta, Stephen Hu, Hodge Hunter and Nicole Hinman.
ASMSA also placed third in the Group Talent competition. Team members were Alec Crow, Thanh Hoang, Kaia Duke, Anjali Patel, Nora Bouzihay and Cameron Mosley.
