ASMSA seniors place first at Foreign Language Festival

ASMSA students Anveshi Guha and Ted Stiritz placed first in the Advanced Spanish Speaking competition at the District Foreign Language Festival held Feb. 19 at historic Central High School in Little Rock.

ASMSA students placing second at the festival were: Tammy Huynh, Spanish Culture Bowl; Joe Horton, Advanced Spanish Reading; Kat Steel and Kaia Duke, French Culture Bowl; Thanh Hoang, Kat Steel and Lucinda Morphew, French Drama; Tori Whitson, Advanced Spanish Reading; Kat Steel – German I Poetry; Anveshi Guha – German II Reading.

Placing third were: Thanh Hoang, Festival Art Competition; Taylor Hamann – Advanced Spanish Reading; Tori Whitson, Advanced Spanish Poetry; Tammy Huynh, Spanish II Reading; Kat Steel, German I Reading and Speaking.

The students qualified to compete in the State Foreign Language Festival on April 2 at Harding University in Searcy.
