Reed named new Institutional Advancement director

Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts announces Gregory D. Reed has joined the staff as director of institutional advancement.

Reed is a fifth-generation native of Hot Springs and a graduate of Hot Springs High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Baylor University and his master's degree from Henderson State University.

Prior to joining ASMSA, Reed worked as a registered investment advisor for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, as client executive for Acxiom Corporation in Little Rock, and as director of technology for Lake Hamilton Schools in Hot Springs.

Reed will be responsible for managing the ASMSA Foundation and the Institutional Advancement department, which includes the school’s fundraising activities, special events, public relations and marketing.

“I am pleased to join the ASMSA team and look forward to building the ASMSA Foundation and helping the school meet its fundraising needs,” Reed said. “One of our goals is to increase awareness about this great school and how it benefits the whole state of Arkansas.”

Reed and his family live on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs where he enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is an avid classic car enthusiast and enjoys riding his motorcycle throughout the back roads of Arkansas.
