ASMSA Beta Club members participated in the state Beta Club Convention, Jan. 27-28 at the Hot Springs Convention Center. More than 2,000 students from 81 clubs competed against each other in a variety of academic and art categories. The ASMSA students will advance to the National Beta Club Convention, which will be held June 27-30 in Greensboro, N.C.
Ryan Mallaby placed first in math.
April Abiera placed first in the colored pencil competition.
Casey Gibson placed second in the acrylic painting competition.
Kate Trubitt placed second in science.
The ASMSA quiz bowl team won second place. Members are Karam Sra, Ryan Mallaby, Alex Jones, Alex Shell, Guo Wang and Roshni Patel.
