Senior Kristen Harrison has been named a National Merit Scholarship finalist. More than 15,000 students from across the country were selected as finalists and will compete for some 8,400 Merit Scholarships to be awarded this spring. The finalists are evaluated on academic record, information about the school's curricula and grading system, two sets of test scores, the high school official's written recommendation, information about the student's activities and leadership, and the finalist's own essay.
Kristen is the daughter of Monte and Kim Harrison of Pearcy.
