Students qualify for state FBLA convention

 

ASMSA will send a delegation of 13 students to the state FBLA Convention being held April 2-3 at the Little Rock Convention Center. 

The students qualified during competition at the district convention held in Feb. 2 at the Hot Springs Convention Center. Qualifying to advance to state competition are:

Ryan Mallaby and Dimple Shah - 1st place, Emerging Business Issues

Chelsea Simpkins - 1st place, Healthcare Administration

Karam Sra - 1st place, Job Interview

Zach Lovin - 2nd place, Technology Concepts

Sorena Lo, Megan Graham, Lorenzo Sukhdeo, and Victoria Ly - 3rd place, Parliamentary Procedures

Grace Lee - 3rd place, Public Speaking II

Leila Wang - 5th place, Cyber Security

Tammy Huynh - 6th place, Business Communications

Amanda Rabalais - Desktop Application Programming (state only event)

Two ASMSA students were also elected to district offices for the 2012-2013 academic year: Sorena Lo, District IV president (and state vice president) and Lorenzo Sukhdeo, District IV parliamentarian.

Students competing at the district level included: Nicole Hinman, Tammy Huynh, Taylor Washington, Annie Wang, Zartashia Javid, Kyridrierra Tatum, Gabrielle Laureno, Dimple Shaw, Leila Wang, Ryan Mallaby, Chelsea Simpkins, Karam Sra, Sorena Lo, Megan Graham, Lorenzo Sukhdeo, Victoria Ly, Grace Lee, Zach Lovin, John Barnes and Amanda Rabalais.
