If you answered "yes," ASMSA is right for you!
ASMSA is the only school of its kind in Arkansas and one of only seventeen public residential high schools in the nation with a focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. ASMSA is also one of only three peer institutions nationally to include an integrated focus on the arts, creativity, and design.
ASMSA offers a dynamic range of courses that allow students to explore new ideas, cultivate their curiosity, and further develop their passion for learning. Both the breadth and depth of classes available at ASMSA are second to none.
All classes are taught at the college level with 70 courses available for university credit through our partnership with the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. ASMSA offers a “college bridge” program where students earn an average of 50 hours of university credit by the time they finish high school, which allows many of our graduates to begin college as a sophomore while also saving thousands of dollars in tuition and other fees.
ASMSA students complete capstone projects across science, arts, and entrepreneurship. From groundbreaking research in technology, sustainability, and biomedicine to portfolios of original works of art, writing, and music, the only limit to our students’ pursuits is their passion.
