Corey Alderdice, director of the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts, joined school leaders and experts from across the country last week at a summit focusing on the disparity in academic performance between lower-income and higher-income students at advanced levels.

Several Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts students earned recognition at the Arkansas Beta Club Senior Convention held Jan. 30-31 at the Hot Springs Convention Center.

The Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts Spring Science and Arts Café Lecture Series kicks off Feb. 12 with a discussion on the climate.

The Arkansas House of Representatives and the Arkansas Senate recognized the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts during their respective sessions on Jan. 27.

Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts students won several awards — including Outstanding Delegate to the Security Council — at the Arkansas Model United Nations Conference.

The Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts Step Team won second place in the girls division of the 8th Annual Southwest Stepshow in November.
