Two ASMSA alumni, Brett Clark (2009) and Natasha Sra (2011), are featured in a video about the new Nanotechnology Sciences Center, which opened May 2 on the UALR campus. The center provides research facilities for scientists and students to explore the interface between nanomaterials, plant biology, and mammalian biology.

Three ASMSA seniors were recently honored for their academic achievements.

After a nationwide search, three people were selected as finalists for the director’s position at Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts.

ASMSA will host a free Science and Engineering Institute Saturday, May 5 giving students in grades 6-10 the opportunity to learn about musical acoustics, computer programming and chemistry. The classes will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on the ASMSA campus in downtown Hot Springs.

The ASMSA Quiz Bowl Team won the Arkansas Governor's Quiz Bowl Association 7-A Regional Tournament held March 10 in North Little Rock.

ASMSA is accepting entries for its inaugural Science of Art photography contest. The contest is open to all 8th, 9th and 10th grade students in Arkansas. In addition to ASMSA, contest sponsors are the ASMSA Foundation, Williams Studio, and the Mid-America Science Museum
