Class of 1999 alumni Jack and Lindsey Waddell met at ASMSA and have now returned to teach in the science and math departments. They were featured in the Aug. 11 edition of The Sentinel-Record.
Arkansas School for Mathematics Sciences and the Arts is welcoming one of its largest junior classes to campus as the new school year begins Aug. 11. This year’s junior class includes 134 students from 53 of Arkansas’ 75 counties.
Wendel Smith of Hot Springs is the only Arkansas student to be selected as one of 10 finalists in the 5th annual Bridgestone Americas Safety Scholars Video Contest. The contest challenges students age 16-21 to create a short video about safe driving.
Class of 1996 alumnus Brian Shiro was featured in the July 10, 2011 edition of The Sentinel Record. The article "Reaching for the Stars" is about Brian's organization Astronauts4Hire.
Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts will host the unveiling of a painting featuring international opera star Marjorie Lawrence on Sunday, June 19. An exhibition and reception will be held in the ASMSA lobby from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. with the unveiling in the boardroom at 2 p.m.
