Dan Anderson is ASMSA’s Digital Arts Instructor, teaching Film, Digital Photography, Graphic Design, Digital Art, and Yearbook. He came to ASMSA in 2023 after five years of teaching media arts courses at National Park College.
Dan holds a BFA in Film Studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a MFA in Electronic Integrated Arts from Alfred University (NY). He is an independent filmmaker and video artist who has screened work in diverse locations such as Germany, France, the UK, Uruguay, China, and various film festivals and art events across the United States.
He is also very involved in the local arts community, having served as a previous Festival Director of the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, and graphic designer for the Garland County Historical Society. He is a native of Northern Minnesota, and first discovered Arkansas by hosting a touring film event at Low Key Arts in Hot Springs.
