Cody A. Ford serves as a Music Instructor at the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts (ASMSA). With a distinguished career in music education, Mr. Ford previously taught at Nashville High School in Nashville, Arkansas, where he led the instrumental music program to remarkable success. Under his guidance, the Nashville High School Wind Ensemble achieved consistent superior ratings and earned a historic State Sweepstakes Award in 2022. His students have gone on to major in music at prestigious Arkansas institutions, including Arkansas State University and Southern Arkansas University. His commitment to excellence is reflected in his students’ achievements, with many securing top chairs in regional honor ensembles and earning recognition in state and national honor groups.
At ASMSA, Mr. Ford co-directs the ASMSA Wind Ensemble, offers private lessons in brass and percussion, and co-teaches the Music Studio class. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Music in Euphonium Performance from Louisiana Tech University, a Bachelor of Music Education with a concentration in Instrumental Education K-12 from the University of Central Arkansas, and a Master of Music with a concentration in Wind Conducting from the University of Central Arkansas.
