Eleven Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts earned recognition at the Arkansas State Future Business Leaders of America Leadership Awards.
The awards were announced during the organization’s virtual state conference on March 29-30. The top four competitors in each category qualified for the FBLA National Conference, which will be held virtually later this year. ASMSA students who qualified for the national event include:
- Client Service — Alec Gatewood of Smackover, first place;
- Coding & Programming — Trey Clark of Harrison, first place;
- Computer Game & Simulation — Mason Duren of Keiser, second place;
- Entrepreneurship — Team of Yug Shah of Marion, HarLeigh Smith of Altus and Amanda Smothers of Pottsville, second place;
- Future Business Leader — Jacob Holmes of Rector, second place;
- Heath Care Administration — Abby Berger of Jonseboro, first place;
- Help Desk — David "Bear" Moore of Hampton, third place;
- Impromptu Speaking — Bryson Austin of Little Rock, third place; and
- Introduction to Financial Math — Talana Small ow White Hall, fourth place.
Blake Smith of London was elected as the FBLA District IV President and State FBLA Vice President representing District IV for the 2021-22 academic year.
