The Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts is participating in ArkansasGives, a 12-hour statewide online-only giving event sponsored by the Arkansas Community Foundation.

Arkansas Community Foundation is challenging Arkansans to raise at least $1 million for local charitable organizations statewide. Participating organizations that receive gifts will earn bonus dollars from a $250,000 pool provided by the foundation. The bonus amount will be based on the total percentage of gifts received by the organization. For example, if the gifts an organization receives totals 2 percent of the overall total raised statewide, the organization will receive 2 percent of the $250,000 as a bonus.
Gifts may be made online from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on April 2 at ArkansasGives.org. To make a donation to ASMSA, visit ArkansasGives.org and select the ASMSA Foundation Fund. The Foundation Fund helps support ASMSA in a number of ways, including meeting institutional needs and student needs — everything from academics to medical assistance to special needs.

First Security Bank is contributing an additional $40,000 in prize money for nonprofits that raise the most dollars and receive the greatest number of individual donors. First, second and third places will be awarded for most dollars raised as well as most donations made in categories for both large and small nonprofits.
Jane Hunt Meade also is contributing an additional $10,000 in prize money for nonprofits that raise the most money in several categories of service, including education.
