Six Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts seniors have been recognized as Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Corp.
Commended Students are recognized for the exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Commended Students, however, do not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships. Participants who scored at or above the commended level but below their state or selection unit’s Semifinalist qualifying are named Commended Students.
