The ASMS Class of 2001 will hold its 10-year reunion Aug. 5 & 6.
The weekend begins with a get-together at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5 at the Flying Saucer in Little Rock. (Address: 323 President Clinton Avenue)
From 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 6, classmates and their families will enjoy a morning at The Peabody Splash Park, located behind The Peabody Hotel, next to the River Market Pavilion. The rain location will be Chuck E. Cheese (10901 Rodney Parham, Little Rock).
Saturday afternoon the class will travel to Hot Springs for a tour of ASMSA from 2 to 4 p.m.
The main reunion event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at The Oyster Bar in Little Rock. The cost of the dinner is $15.80 per person (including tax and gratuity) and will be paid individually to the restaurant.
The menu includes peel and eat shrimp, a choice of gumbo or red beans and rice with Andouille sausage, French bread, hush puppies, mixed green salad with fresh vegetables, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. Beer and wine will be available for an additional charge.

Memorial for fallen classmate
The Class of 2001 is donating a memorial bench to the ASMSA campus in honor of classmate Billy Bushnell. The estimated cost is $1,000. Donations may be made to Maya Damon Lawrence at the reunion or through PayPal at asms2001tenyearreunion@gmail.com.
