In an effort to make Arkansas roads safer for teens, students at the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts are teaming up with State Farm insurance company to Celebrate My Drive by making a commitment to safe driving.

The Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts and the ASMSA Foundation Fund have received an $8,000 grant from the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas in support of a new installment of the school’s Science and Engineering Institute (SEI) outreach program.

The Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts will hold its next Preview Weekend on the Hot Springs campus on Nov. 15. Prospective students in seventh through 10th grades, their parents and other family members as well as educators are invited to attend this free event.

Clifford Happy, 51, of Hot Springs Village died Tuesday, September 30, 2014. He was born in Alberta, Canada, on June 10, 1963, but grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. Serving in the U.S. Marine Corps for 22 years from 1981-2003 and rising to the rank of First Sergeant, Cliff spent time on every continent on Earth but Antarctica.
