Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts held its annual Science Fair and Senior Research Symposium (SRS) Feb. 22-24. All seniors must complete a Science Fair or SRS project as part of their graduation requirements. In addition to being judged on their projects, the students participated in a Junior Academy competition, which is a 10-minute oral presentation about their projects.

The ASMSA Quiz Bowl team scored a perfect 7-0 to win the Parkview Fundraising Tournament Feb. 4 in Little Rock.

ASMSA will send a delegation of 13 students to the state FBLA Convention being held April 2-3 at the Little Rock Convention Center. 

ASMSA will host its annual Science Fair and Senior Research Symposium, Wednesday, Feb. 22 – Friday, Feb. 24. This is a regional Intel Science and Engineering Fair with the top two winners advancing to the national competition.

ASMSA Beta Club members participated in the state Beta Club Convention, Jan. 27-28 at the Hot Springs Convention Center. More than 2,000 students from 81 clubs competed against each other in a variety of academic and art categories. The ASMSA students will advance to the National Beta Club Convention, which will be held June 27-30 in Greensboro, N.C.

Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts announces Gregory D. Reed has joined the staff as director of institutional advancement.

Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts will host an open house for prospective students and their families from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 3 at the campus in downtown Hot Springs. Tours of the school will be available every half hour beginning at 9 a.m. Students will have the opportunity to talk to current students and teachers. The ASMSA Community Leaders (pictured above) will be conducting the tours and available to answer questions.
