The ASMSA Quiz Bowl team won the 7A class of the Arkansas Governor’s Quiz Bowl Association tournament held April 28. This is the school’s first-ever state quiz bowl championship win. ASMSA defeated Conway 310-230 in the final round of the tournament, which was broadcast from the AETN studios in Conway. ASMSA team captain Alex Shell was selected as the 7A tournament MVP. The team is scheduled to compete in the National Academic Quiz Tournaments high school championship, May 25-27 in Atlanta.
